1. Stable current type:
The output current of the constant current drive circuit is stable, while the output DC voltage varies within a certain range depending on the size of the load resistance. If the load resistance is small, the output voltage will be low, and the larger the load resistance, the higher the output voltage.
① Constant current drive circuit is more ambitious for driving LED, but relatively expensive; ② Constant current circuit is not afraid of load short circuit, but load open circuit is prohibited; ③ Attention should be paid to the current and voltage values used, as they limit the number of LEDs used.
2. Stabilized current type:
When the various parameters in the voltage regulator circuit are determined, the output voltage is fixed, while the output current changes with the increase or decrease of the load.
① The voltage regulator circuit is not afraid of load open circuit, but load short circuit is prohibited.
② The change in rectified voltage will affect the brightness of LED.
③ To achieve uniform brightness for each string driven LED display, appropriate resistors can be added.
